The Tufts’ dogs match holders are the most readily identifiable of Tufts silver plate. There were three offered in the 1898 catalogue (see link) and you can view them as a group (below) or enjoy them individually on the pages we’ve devoted to these lovely images!

The American Silver Museum II - a James W. Tufts experience!

The Tufts Exhibition at The American Silver Museum II

About The American Silver Museum II

The American Silver Museum www.AmericanSilverMuseum.COM was created in May of 2019.

Intended as a small online museum experience, within three months its scope and size demanded more space for the exhibits and galleries!

We are happy to report that the analytics and metrics indicated great interest in our little museum experience/experiment, and so, we’ve expanded the museum to this, our second site: The American Silver Museum II

www.AmericanSilverMuseum.ORG

The American Silver Museum boasts a large collection of works from the manufacturer James W. Tufts (Boston MA). We’ve chosen The American Silver Museum II as the site of a permanent installation of our James W Tufts exhibits and galleries so that our visitors and guests can fully appreciate the fine qualities of Mr. Tufts efforts.

The American Silver Museum II will give us sorely needed space in our rotating exhibitions at the original American Silver Museum. We’ll be cross-linking the two sites for easy navigation, and we hope that you will fully enjoy both sites.

Warm regards,

Tom Scanlon

Founder/Curator
